BGS Grading

Beckett, long established in the industry since 1979 is well known for their popular price guides to anyone who collects. The Beckett Grading umbrella covers a number of services including Beckett Grading Services (BGS), Beckett Vintage Grading (BVG), Beckett Raw Card Review and Beckett Authentication. Collectors familiar with Beckett grading go to the trusted grader as grading increases the value of your cards compared to raw card prices which in turn makes your Graded RC easier to sell as a condition is set and the card is authenticated.

On top of establishing condition, your Graded RC is encased in a crystal-clear holder that can easily stack together with others in your card collection. Inside that holder you’ll have a high-end label that details any description of the card and includes advanced security features.

Inside the grading that Beckett offers you’ll find two different options to choose from. The first is subgrades. If you choose this option your Graded RC will be given specific grades for centering, corners, surface and edges. As with all grading, the condition of the card in these key categories will be considered in determining your card’s final overall grade. The second is single grade which you’ll find is very similar to the PSA card grading approach where cards are graded with the same process but will only receive an overall grade on the label.

As with most large grading companies, you can always visit the Beckett Grading Pop Report page for in depth grading numbers on a particular card, player or set.
